The popular free game BDT5 was created by Ninja Kiwi in December 2011.With over 35,000 hits and counting, Bloons Tower Defense 5 is a fun game challenging players to pop as many bloons as possible while trying not to lose lives. The levels begin to increase in difficulty as you progress. Money also gets tighter when you start playing in Freeplay Mode.

==Towers and Upgrades==
The upgrades for each tower have two paths.Due to the special third and fourth upgrades,they can only be used on one of the upgrade paths.The upgrades do what all tower defense upgrades do;Improve the tower.The upgrades all need to be unlocked, especially the last upgrade.The last upgrade requires you to unlock it first, then again when you have reached the specific rank for the tower (I.E Super Monkey-Rank 32).

==History==
BTD5 evolved from Btd4, which in turn evolved from BTD3, and so on and so forth.BTD5 was published a long time after the well-known game bloons came out.The monkey-popping-a-whole-bunch-of-bloons game then turned out to be very popular.When BTD was published, it came out to be VERY popular.Then came a sequel, then another, then still another! BTD3 was really popular then, and popularity jumped when BTD4 came out.Then it came out.Two new towers, the Dartling Gun and the Spike Factory.After about four years of waiting, BTD5 finally came out!It was here.Now they just added the Meerkat Spy, making it more awesomer.Now, if you are logged in, you can get free Monkey Money, making BTD5 an awesome game.However it's awesomeness, there are a few glitches.When they created BTD5, Ninja Kiwi made a change to the way your progress is stored, making your saved data not as reliable.However, things lightened up when Ninja Kiwi created the NK login, protecting your progress.More Updates will be added, so keep coming back for free new updates for BTD5.

==Common Strategy==

STRATEGY 1: Boomerang and Tack
A simple yet easy beginning is to buy a Tack Shooter and a Boomerang Thrower until round 8, where you buy a Banana Farm. Through the rounds 10-19 you need a Bomb Cannon for backup and to get rid of the pesky Leads and Regrowths. Then you will find yourself needing a Super Monkey to destroy the MOAB. The 40's are hard, but you should be able to make it with some upgrades for the Super Monkey. The 50's through the 70's are difficult, but with the line of Brown Bloons, you should be able to complete round 75. Beware round 85 because the ZOMG comes then.Round 86-90 made my computer crash after that, so I have no idea how to complete Round 90.

STRATEGY 2: Choke Point
Always start your levels with easy mode to get the in game cash. First find a choke point on the map where you can hit multiple bloons with the tack/ice tower. Then nearby, place a ninja tower where it can still hit the choke point.
For easy mode you will still have enough cash to place a glue gunner at the beginning area of the level. As you progress, spend all of your money on getting corrosive glue for the gunner. Once you have got this, buy the path 2 upgrades for it. GET THE GLUE SPLATTER ASAP, THIS TOWER WILL GO ON FROM A HELP TO A GODSEND IF YOU GET THIS UPGRADE. Your Glue Gunner with corrosive will let you get rid of lead and your ninja will take out any camo for now. You are relatively safe.
Once you have enough money, upgrade the ninja tower so you have 2 upgrades on each path.
Then get a Dart Monkey and place it near to the choke point somewhere where it may hit a bunch of bloons in a line. Get it up to the Spike O' Pult.
Next concentrate on AoE towers, tack is what I often go for first. Place it on the choke point and level it up at your pleasure, aiming for path 1 upgrade primarily.
Then spend money on an ice tower and Boomerang Thrower at the choke point. For these two you MUST level up for path one as the Glaive lord, Ring of Fire and Arctic Wind/Viral Frost will eliminate any and all bloons in the area. Don't level these up too far for now though.
Next make sure to get a Spike factory right at the end of your map, just as insurance.
From now it is really up to you as to what towers you place, you want all of your towers to be able to hit that choke point where the bloons will be glued, iced, boomeranged constantly, being set on fire, exploded and generally destroyed.
TIPS: A good investment first will be a MOAB Mauler as this set up isn't very good against MOABS to start with (Although once your choke is properly set up, you should have no problem.) If you are going for the Wizard, go straight for Firebreath and have him very close to the choke. I am a huge fan of Artillery too, and either path should be ok. Do not waste money on snipers as they are expensive as hell and really aren't that useful once hundreds of bloons are pouring out.

STRATEGY 3: Fire and Ice
So yeh, this is basically just starting with an monkey apprentice and upgrading it on path two, then it starts to get cool. When fire and ice mix, it just means a whole lot of poppage for the bloons. The ice slows them an the fire pops them, providing instant victory.
